Architecture Is Transformation celebrates the 2026 Global Award for Sustainable Architecture winners’ ability to welcome, embrace, and foster transformation in our built environment. Their work demonstrates how urban and rural infrastructures can be reimagined, how architectural materials can be adapted, and how immaterial aspects can be thoughtfully integrated into design strategies—making built environments more responsive to rapidly evolving social and ecological challenges.

2026 Global Award Laureates:
Ye Man (ZSYZ), Doan Thanh Ha (H&P Architects), Loreta Castro Reguera and José Pablo Ambrosi (Taller Capital), Amelia Tavella (Amelia Tavella Architects), and Andreas Kipar (LAND).

Architecture Is Construction provides a compelling narrative on how architecture can foster a harmonious balance between built and natural environments by highlighting context-sensitive construction, zero-carbon strategies, and the reimagining of vernacular techniques, in projects by 2025 winners Marie Combette and Daniel Moreno Flores (La Cabina de la Curiosidad), Andrea Gebhard, Hoang Thuc Hao, Salima Naji, and Marie and Keith Zawistowski.

Architecture Is Education highlights the impact of education in the field of architecture, illustrated by the groundbreaking work of the Global Award for Sustainable Architecture 2024 winners Iyas Shahin and Wesam Al Asali (IWLab), Andrés Jaque, Klaus K. Loenhart, Ciro Pirondi, and Marina Tabassum. Focusing on four key areas—experimentation, dissemination, consultancy, and training—this publication demonstrates how architectural education is a vital force in addressing global sustainability challenges.
