  • ISBN assignment for the digital edition and professional metadata management
  • DOI registration and deposit with Crossref
  • MARC21 metadata for library systems
  • hosting and distribution through platforms and repositories such as OAPEN, HathiTrust and the Open Research Library
  • registration with the Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB)
  • integration into international discovery services, such as Google Scholar, ProQuest Serial Solutions, Ex Libris, EBSCO Discovery Service and WorldCat
  • long-term digital preservation through appropriate services and repositories, such as the German National Library (DNB), Portico and CLOCKSS
  • metadata provision via OAI-PMH for automated harvesting

Our objective is to make Open Access publications freely available while ensuring the widest possible international discoverability, citability and long-term accessibility.
