On Wednesday, the International Court of Justice issued an Advisory Opinion saying that states must protect people from the “urgent and existential threat” of climate change, a major moment for the global environmental movement and for the countries at greatest risk of harm.
ArchiTangle is proud to share this fantastic news on behalf of the Reading Visual Investigations authors at SITU Research, the University of Chicago’s Global Human Rights Clinic, Pacific Island Students Fighting Climate Change, and World’s Youth for Climate Justice.
Our book Reading Visual Investigations documents the team’s efforts to get the “World’s Court” to rule on the obligations owed by top violators due to climate inaction. With its BOOK+ extension, the publication serves as an archive for image, audio and video material that brought the case study to life in an exhibition, and it also provides up-to-date information on the progress of ongoing projects like this one.

Stored via blockchain technology, you will find Suneil Sanzgiri’s film—exhibited in the Pinakothek der Moderne during the oral hearings at the ICJ in December 2024—via our BOOK+ codes!
